Yesterday, we found out that Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz have called it quits after three years together, ending a one-year engagement. They started dating while working on Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice—a film that, frankly, vanished from theaters and the public radar way too soon.
It’s a shame. They seemed to be a solid match from what we saw in public. But it looks like their split won’t be stopping them from working together. On the same day their breakup made headlines, Deadline announced the star-studded cast of the Zellner Brothers’ Alpha Gang, featuring Tatum, Kravitz, Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Léa Seydoux, Riley Keough, and Cate Blanchett. So maybe they’ll reconnect on set—or maybe it’ll just be super awkward.
Speaking of awkwardness, Steve Kazee — Channing Tatum’s ex-wife Jenna Dewan’s current fiancé — posted a not-so-subtle Instagram shortly after the news broke.
Kind of a jackass move, right? Tatum and Dewan’s divorce was a six-year saga with plenty of acrimony. Kazee, who starred in the Broadway musical Once, likely had a front-row seat to all the drama, but still, maybe save it for the group chat. Tatum and Dewan share a kid, and that post has some real shitty step-dad energy.
